Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

She watched the male with intrigue in her eerie stare. Chance had led the white heathen to Glorall's border, on her way to Enocura. She had a bug in her pelt, an itch to gain her home back. Travelling by the ocean pack, the white of Tristan's coat caught her eye. She spoke and to her amusement, the male could hardly hide his surprise. A huff at his correction, Jaidah finds her grin turning into a full fledged smile. She knew she was quite the looker nowadays, glittering jade watched as he continued. He introduces himself,a wary expression crossing over her fiercely scarred visage. Looking for her? That made him stupid, brave, or poisonous. The halved remains of her ear slide back on her head, but nothing is said until he finishes. His questions are rapid fire, making her head spin a little as she listened. "Let's go out on a limb here and say you aspire for more than simple pack life. You want to be responsible for others, have them look up to you, respect you, love you. You want the world to hear the message you have to send it, yours alone. Now let's say you won your dream by blood. You taste victory and wishes granted, you welcome any who would follow you to come as family to your great house. Your hopes and wildest dreams are true, but as you lay helping to birth pups in a den, it is snatched from you. What would you do? Lay down and forget your dream, the joy and satisfaction you felt when you had it? Or, would you fight tooth and claw, over and over, until you won it back?" Jaidah's dulcet tones never raise above what was necessary to be heard clearly over the ocean. Her eye remained unblinking as both jewel and socket stare evenly across the polite distance.

"I had thirty-three wolves in my pack. Each one welcomed or seen to by myself. My love for them was as mothers with children, sisters and brothers and children. Even called myself Night Mother, at five years old I did this. Even monsters came to my call, willing to set aside differences they couldn't have left. Alone before. Why would they do that? Do you know what it is to have every wolf, thirty-three of them, believe in you like that? My kingdom was more than grass, mouths to feed, power to hold. I was the matriarch of shadows, Night Mother and Keeper of the Plain." Jaidah catches his gaze, her voice scary powerful, driven as she spoke.

"How hard would you fight to get your family back, if someone snatched them from you on a day you were supposed to be happiest? I do this because some wolves need special sanctuary, and not everyone can tame beasts. Do you know what it is like to have so many depend on you, and you fail your first real test? I must clear my name, live my dream, and most importantly, I need to bring my family home. Would you do the same? Could you?" In a childishly curious manner, Jaidah tilts her head. Amusement grows at his curiosity, perhaps she had helped him understand her a bit more.
