aurelia was bored of spirane. it wasn’t that there weren’t more peaks to explore or caves to discover, it was that she simply didn’t want to find them alone. to be alone was a personal struggle - her brothers were always together and she didn’t know where her sisters were, or even where her mother was. in short, aurelia was quite bored of being alone. it used to be an adventure - she was discovering things that her brothers and sister hadn’t and that was a grand adventure. now, though, there was just one discovery she wanted to make - friendship.

spirane had forests, and aurelia had a memory of taviora from when she was a child, and logically, she knew there were similar traits that all dense woodlands shared. that said, there was a clear idea of where she wanted to go. with the place in mind, and no real sense of where encora woodlands was, aurelia set off from the den she’d made for herself, long legs taking her quickly down the mountainside. she made quick work of the territory, having been born and raised amongst its craggy peaks and uneven slopes. as she approached her second year, her favored paths were memorized like the back of her paw. without dawdling, aurelia reached the borders of spirane and, without thought, crossed them and headed northeast, not quite sure how on earth she’d make it to the woodlands, just certain that she would get there.

the chill of the fall morning was uncomfortable, but the swift jog that aurelia took up as she headed further from the mountains ensured that she’d be warmed up soon enough. it did not take her too long to reach the valley, a place she was vaguely familiar with. after all, it wasn’t her first time escaping spirane, now was it? however, it was now that the girl became dreadfully lost. instead of continuing on ahead the way she’d set out, she paused in the middle of the valley, slender maw lifting upwards towards the sky with a soft smile of contentment. without another second of hesitation, she shifted her course east and headed off, unaware that she was veering away from where she wanted to be.

by the time she reached the edge of ruieze lake, she was well aware that she was dreadfully lost. with a humorless chuckle, navy and molten gold eyes set to seek out another soul, who would, if she was lucky, point her in the proper direction of encora woodland.
