Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

After days of wandering, it seemed that the brute’s dark paws had finally landed in a new territory. Oort could not deny that he was excited to be in foreign lands; the opportunities for exploration were simply too enticing for him to be able to resist. A slight grin tugged at his lips as he peered across the body of the lake, his dual toned yellow and blue eyes ablaze with a childlike curiosity as he pondered the things that he would discover and people he would meet during his time in this alien territory.

He had stopped in this area in a vain attempt to gain his bearings, though how the predominately murky grey male had intended to do that when his whereabouts were completely unknown to him was something of a mystery. In truth, the barrage of new sights and scents had overwhelmed him somewhat, and he now found himself gazing at the lake ahead of him with a peculiar amount of interest as he tried to work out where he should go from here.

Oort dipped his head slightly to gaze at his reflection; he saw the expression of the face that was staring back at him soften to a calmer, more neutral expression, before his dual coloured eyes fell closed for the briefest moment. He exhaled gently, before rising to his feet and beginning another aimless wander by the lakeside.

The way Oort saw it, he was free to meander wherever he wanted for now- provided he avoided anywhere that smelt densely populated. This way, he would be able to get a better grasp of this new land that he had found himself in, and perhaps meet a few interesting characters along the way, before he decided whether or not he should move on. However, he was quietly hopeful that this territory would give him something to stick around for, if only for the time being.
