Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I move without real purpose this day. There is little to do, after all. The others have found their own purpose for now and so, I am perhaps inclined to seek out one of my sons. My daughters are seemingly more inclined to seek out their own entertainment. Such a thing does not bother me; what bothers me, however, is how difficult my sons are to find at times. For what it it is worth, they have become skilled in their ability to remain concealed. They come and go as they please, after all. Elohim, at least, is on the breeze. His scent leads towards the shoreline. Has he gotten lazy?

Still, I am in no particular hurry to find him. I will find him or I will not; why should it matter? In fact, I am quite enjoying the simple nature of the day. I am able to enjoy the scent of the ocean as I pass through the sparse woods; I am able to feel the sand between my toes and the wind in my fur. It is simple and it is enjoyable, I think. It is, at least, a change of pace and yet, it does not last forever. Rather, I am drawn to an unfamiliar cry by the borders as I begin my way towards the shores. I pause for a moment, considering its timbre before I turn towards its location, taking off at a swift lope.

It is not a voice known to me and soon, I find the scent even less familiar. It lingers with the stench of Iromar, however. I know such a scent well for it is the same swamp that Raven resides within. This voice, however, is not hers and so, I am quickly curious about the owner of it. Male, young, surprisingly steadfast in his resolve to summon me. That is a good sign, at least. I grow tired of those with weak wills. Why should they call out to me if they only intend to shrink away?

I find him quickly enough by the borders and I do not hesitate to approach him directly. I call out with a gruff bark of a sound, following through with a curt nod of greeting as I settle in front of him. For a moment, I remain silent as I simply asses what is put before me; he is young, indeed, and yet he seems to wear purpose well enough. It is a curious thing for Iromar to send an emissary. We are not exactly allies, you see, and yet I hold no ill thoughts towards such a place. In fact, Raven's presence within the swamps ensures I do not do so, even if Glorall's fallen leader's son holds power in such a place. Still, he has never bothered me and so, I do not plan to bother him.

When I have assessed the situation well enough, that is when I speak. A simple question, really. Just "Iromar, yes?" with a tilt of my head, a brow rising up in curiosity. I am sure he knows how this works. He has called for me and as such, he may instigate this conversation. He has my attention. That is what he wanted.
