Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

visenya

Of course she had considered the chance that her mother might hear them; she had considered that the pack, too, might be alarmed by their calls and yet, she had decided not to care. Where was the fun in worrying about that? All she wanted to worry about was making the best of the situation she had come into; fun was what mattered, fun and adventure. Luckily, she had followed the right girl it seemed for her newest companion had no inhibitions either. They chased and they howled into the sky without a care in the world, undeterred by the world around them. Visenya knew that, if they had to, they could take on anything.

She had a chance to catch up as Samus spun, the snow billowing out like a cloud. Some of it had even sprayed Visenya's dark fur, speckling it like the night sky as she leaped forward and landed in a wriggling play bow. She mirrored Samus, imitating an elk as best as she could; she pawed at the ground, digging up the snow as she did so with a huff and a snort.

Yet, Samus seemed undeterred. She charged forward and so, Visenya did too. Of course, she had the intention of ducking away at the last moment, unwilling to sacrifice the top of her head like a real elk. Perhaps she had become too immersed in playing the role, for she had not expected the other girl to dance to the side. It took her off guard as she felt the girl's head hit into her shoulder; she had been in the process of dashing to the side herself and so, combined with the snow, she felt her rear end slip out from beneath her as she tried to stop. It resulted in an almost comical display as she seemed to crumple, falling to the snow with a soft thud. Though dazed, her mind raced with ideas.

"Owww," she whined, her body curled up on itself as she begun to fuss over her front paw, "I think I hurt it." She held her paw out, allowing it to fall limp as she did so; her ears flickered back, her lips drooped down into an unpleasant grimace. Of course, she knew it was fine. In fact, she had curled herself in such a way that she'd surely be able to pounce without effort. Her plan was... well, smart in her eyes. She'd lure her companion back and bam! She wouldn't be the only one on her back.
