Many wolves looking for relaxation come to Blossom Field. A gentle breeze vibrating the blossoming flowers is quite a sight to see and it is quite a favourite for wolves to come with their mates.

A recent fire has ruined the scenery, half the field covered with soot and marked with scars of the flames. The other half is untouched, however.

~I hope you smile when you look down on me~

Sebring felt the tears and shreds of her hindquarter slowly stitching themselves back together. The battle had proved to be almost fatal for the ashen fae and her mottled King. And though they had escaped with their lives still remaining, parts of their bodies had been torn into equal tatters. Her mottled knight limped beside her, his left shoulder had been torn up in the fight, but all of the bastards were dead. The ashen lady finally knew the kind of responsibility she would be taking on if she became Kalgalath’s mate and the Queen of Aurora Borealis. She would have died to protect the packmates she knew and those she would come to know. That was for certain, and Sebring couldn’t help the elation of joy that washed over her as her lover, got wind of his new found role—grandfather!

Kalgalath and Sebring had begun their slow journey towards the Fields. The lover’s hobbled along, Sebring leaning into her mottled knight ever so often and giving him a bit of support for his shoulder. It was during their quiet travel that the ashen lady had begun to realize that being with Kalgalath was actually coming true. It ever harder for her to believe but yet it was the easiest thing for her to do. She couldn’t help but the a deepened trust since the moment he’d saved her. But even during their more intimate moments Sebring could never have brought herself to comprehend the role of Queen. She could have more easily taken mother and mate, but Queen..? Sebring would have never in moons of her lifetime thought she could have ever been held in such high of places. She had been so used to being pushed down, left behind and almost dead that she had forgotten what it meant to be to be a part of a pack. Or even a family.

Sebring knew that Kalgalath had previously had other lovers and out of one of those, other children and an adopted daughter along the way. And now by way of her mottled knight, she was ‘grandmother’… That was slightly terrifying to her, but as she came upon the huddle of pups, father and mother she couldn’t help but be overcome with a little piece of bliss and belonging. But it cracked slightly, Why, hello Hocus… This is awkward, now isn’t it? Kal’s voice echoed out into afternoon, an awkward silence settled over the group. Was Sebring unaware of some connection..? Her heart stuttered and her golden lanterns shadowed with hurt. Kalgalath… do you know her? She couldn’t help the laced betrayal in her voice, her voice choked as she tried to keep her sanity.

"They’re only baby scars," She whispers.
