aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

wolf

~I hope you smile when you look down on me~

Sebring had been around and about as much as she could. Given her current state there wasn’t much she could do and calling out to other pack members just didn’t feel right. They all had wounds to tend to and she herself had meagerly and miraculously somewhat put her femur back into its socket, but she had a nagging feeling none the less. After their run in with the band of outsiders all of Aurora’s members, not counting the pups, had suffered some sort of injury. And given her limited knowledge the ashen ess knew she couldn’t hide out and hope that Lupis might bless her with a miracle healing. Her mottled knight was also out and about somewhere. They had returned from their ‘family’ excursion, and she had yet to know what Kalgalath’s connection to Hocus was… it left her with a terrible feeling and Hocus had left a nasty after taste. She was acidic in personality and hissed like a snake when she spoke, but Sebring being more passive couldn’t help but feel more worried about her and Kalgalath, rather than what Kal and Hocus had ever had.

Her ash pillars plodded along, but her auds perked at the lone howl of her recent found packmate and healer Hellene. She smiled to herself happy to be distracted with other business. She needed to get out of her own head and help those around her. With the progression of her relationship with her mottled knight she was becoming more and more aware of how she acted and presented herself. Sebring made slow progress towards Hellene, but was still somehow the first to arrive. Her limp had gotten progressively worse, for the more she moved the more immediate the pain became. She knew her attempt to put her femur back into the socket hadn’t really done much and the muscles, sinew and ligaments around the area weren’t any better. Most of her hind limb was torn up and scratched, but in return her lover was still alive and the pack was still in one piece… or at least she hoped.

Hellene, it’s good to see you again. On better terms at least. The ashen lady limped over towards Hellene, a smile lifting her lips up. She was glad to see the healer, You are certainly the more practiced healer here… Could you help me to pop my leg back into place? I tried but it feels jammed and it locks up fairly often when I walk… Sebring twinged as a sharp pain shot down from her joint. Her toes were starting to feel prickly, like needles sticking into her skin. She looked to Hellene, a silent plea in her eyes. She just wanted to get her leg back into action so she could help with the other wolves before they arrived…

"They’re only baby scars," She whispers.
