Inanna’s ears twitched uncertainly. She had yet to be able to learn what it was about some plants that made them different from others. There was the way they smelled and the way they looked, but neither really told you if it was okay to eat. That she was still learning by trial and error. “Sometimes they smell really really good, but when you eat them they make you sick! I ate a mushroom one time that smelled horrible! But it was delicious! A different mushroom, this one had colors on it, made me really dizzy.. It didn’t taste very good either… White berries are really pretty! I thought since they looked like me they would taste okay.” Her nose wrinkled at the memory. “I was wrong…”
Bouncing around and jumping too and fro with the energy that came from being a puppy, she both led and followed Thor to the sands of the beach, her laughter bubbling from her in excitement. “I don’t really care if my mom says I smell! She just tells me to go get clean. Then I play water monster with my siblings!” Really she tried to make anything fun, it was too boring to just sit around the den all day.
“Of course I will show you how to break shells!” She replied as their paws touched the sand. At once her nose went to the ground, sniffing at the subtle trails in the sediment. It did not take long for her to find the source of her quest. A medium sized crab jumped at her appearance, it’s claws high and threatening. The white pup froze, glancing back at Thor to make sure he saw it, too. “The key is to try to jump on it’s back as hard as you can to knock it out! Keep your lips away from the claws when you bite it!” Even her voice was quivering with anticipation, eyes wide to see if he would take the challenge of attacking the crab.
