During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

The cliffs had quieted after Ameira had made her way down the edge, he had watched her lithe figure disappear into the night shadows. The Herculean had chosen to stay and hide away from the time being. He needed some peace and quiet so he could figure out what he wanted. Ameira had stirred a fire up in his soul that he hadn’t felt in his time alone. He felt the true emptiness that had surrounded him for so long. Horizon remembered his mother and her bright spirit even in the face of difficulty and torture. She hid her pain from Horizon, she gave him a life to live out. Even after his casting out she made sure to care for him, she told him everything he needed to know, when she knew he could handle it. Her lilting voice echoed in his cranium, Someday you’ll understand, Horizon darling. When you’ve lived and learned you start to understand why I do what I do. Those words had been his driving force deep down, and Ameira had rekindled the energy and embers that had been buried underneath his loneliness.

The bloody kalak lifted up his shadowy crown, his lids blinked away heavy sleep as he tried to focus on the dim light that filtered in through the moss awning. Her forepaws stretched out and his rear rose into the air, his vertebra popped back into place and Horizon let out a deep sigh or contentment. Time had been passing with little care as to how the maned wolf spent it. Most it was in the highest and coldest places one could reach. He had hidden away from the world seeking out himself, trying to center what little emotion he had. And today he finally felt at peace, all he needed was to find a place to call home. Horizon lifted up his body and padded through the moss, his black nose pushed aside the damp curtain. He shook out the dust in his fur, but still felt the tiny granules digging into his skin. He padded back towards the creek where he had spoken to Ameira not so many days ago. He dipped down into the icy water feeling it frozen tendrils crawling over his skin washing away the last bits of mountain dust. He rose quickly and shook out the water. His blackened stilts leapt into a gallop as he rushed down the mountain, in a hurry.

Horizon pounded across the ground, his claws dug shallow gashes into the land as he tore through the land away from the cold grasp of the mountain. He passed through the open field of Blossom Forest and he ripped through the undergrowth of the forest surrounding it but came to a sudden halt. Deep claw marks ripped open the dirt and his path of collision that never happened. A scent had leaked into his nostrils, Ameira..? Horizon put his nares to the ground and took in a breath, the Lady’s distinct scent spreading through his sensory glands. A smile lightened his features as he took off in the direction of her scent.

The tree’s began to thicken around him, the shadows crawled out and swallowed him whole. The sights and smells were becoming foreign and slightly disconcerting to the herculean. He would have kept going but was halted at a border line of scents, Ameira’s holding the most distinction. His crown swiveled around looking for the snowy figurine but he found only darkness. Why was she here..? Horizon barked out into the depths of the land, testing if she was nearby. Nothing came about. Only silence hung around the Kalak. A worried look furrowed his brows together, he couldn’t imagine why the Lady would have come here… He tilted his head back and howled into the open air. He was hoping that the lady would recognize his voice and come to him. He wanted to make sure she was okay, this land seemed awfully dark for the snowy angel.
