It's been a good long while since we did something like this, and we have some fresh imaginations out there - so we're eager to see what you guys can come up with.
We're looking for designs in the following categories:
• Shamanimals
• Marsh Monsters
• Flora
Shamanimals are creatures native and unique to Shaman. They can live anywhere you like, in the forests, in the sea, on the beach, whatever you like. The winning designs will be added to our creatures page for people to use in their posts. You can read about all our existing Shaman animals here.
To enter a Shamanimal we will need the following details:
• Its name (as in 'squirrel' not as in 'Dave')
• A description of the creature
• Where it can be found
• What your creature eats
We would also love to see sketches of your creature, but these are not compulsory and your design will not be marked down if you do not include one.
Marsh Monsters are creatures that inhabit Macabre Marsh. They are sometimes ordinary Shamanimals who have been twisted in some way by the magic of the marsh, or entirely new beings altogether. You can read all about the existing Marsh Monsters here
To enter a Marsh Monster you will need to provide the following information.
• Its name (as in 'squirrel' not as in 'Dave')
• A description of your monster
• Your monster's main weakness (scared of water, allergic to roses etc.)
• The best way to kill/defeat your monster
We would also love to see sketches of your monster, but these are not compulsory and your design will not be marked down if you do not include one.
Flora are the plants and flowers native and unique to Shaman. These can be ordinary plants with properties similar to those found on earth, or they can be more magical. Your plant might be used in medicine, or make a particularly good poison. You can find a list of existing Shaman flora here.
To enter a plant design we will need the following information:
• Its name (as in 'squirrel' not as in 'Dave')
• A physical description of your flower
• Any special properties/uses it may have
We would also love to see sketches of your plants, but these are not compulsory and your design will not be marked down if you do not include one.
You may enter as many or as few entries as you like, in as many or as few categories as you wish. There are no limits on numbers - go nuts! Try and be as detailed as you can - we're more likely to choose ideas that have had a lot of thought put into them.
You may borrow ideas from folklore/legend but please try to put your own spin on them. Kindly do not pull unique creatures/monsters straight out of other pieces of literature and try to pass them off as your own.
You may claim +5 points for a character of your choice for each entry you submit.
