Many wolves looking for relaxation come to Blossom Field. A gentle breeze vibrating the blossoming flowers is quite a sight to see and it is quite a favourite for wolves to come with their mates.

A recent fire has ruined the scenery, half the field covered with soot and marked with scars of the flames. The other half is untouched, however.

The more that the pair spoke, the more that Akuji realized that he trusted Horizon. Though there were many years between them, perhaps Horizon was no so different as he once was. Perhaps his mind had not been as warped by their father as Akuji's was... At the very least, he seemed to be sane, which was more than what could be said for Akuji. Horizon could sympathize with the horrors that Akuji had seen. The two brutes shared the same scars, the same history, the same hatred - they even shared the same blood. Though this could also be said for Akuji's full littermates - Harries and Shae - Shae had an inner strength to persevere and survive with the ability to still wear a smile upon her maw. She had seen the same horrors and somehow remained unbroken... She did not know the pain that Akuji felt, nor had she any idea of the fight that he fought every day to keep his inner monster contained. And Harries... Well he had potential to be not only a brother by blood, but also a comrade to Akuji, having a monster all of his own, but instead the two were sworn enemies who hated each other with a fire.

'I do remember your sister now, though Harries still escapes me slightly… ' Akuji chuckled - for once, Harries was the unimportant on. " He is the asshole of the group, so I am not much surprised that your brain has erased him from your memories, brother mine." For a few moments there was silence between the brutes, Horizon looking like he was trying to remember something, but couldn't, with his brow furrowed. But then the opposing kalak spoke again, as to his own history in this place. 'I arrived not too long ago, before winter set in over Blossom Forest. I spent a long time roaming before I found this place. I lost my way many times and I would spend days waiting for herds to move so I could find another scent trail to follow… How did you end up here? I understand they exiled you, but did they bring you here purposely..?' Akuji shook his head and turned away from Horizon. "To be honest I don't entirely remember that time very well. I was... Someone else... Most of the time and everything is sort of hazy. I know they knocked me out and dragged me most of the way so that I would not know the way back, ensuring that they would be safe from me forever. I think they put me somewhere... Near... To Blossom Forest. But I followed the scents of wolves and ended up here..." Akuji shook his head, not liking to remember those years.

Akuji turned back toward Horizon with a smile on his face - now that they had reminisced about the past, it was time to turn their conversation to the present and, more importantly, the future. "So tell me, Horizon, where have you taken up residence, or have you not yet? For we tend to sway ourselves toward Cold Summers, and I do not believe I have seen you there. There are a few vargs I would love for you to meet."
