News - 6/19/21
Summer is here and Fall is short around the corner. There is unrest as it stands but, perhaps it is to our advantage. Let no one question our strength. Those who wish to speak on rank, seek me out. If anyone wishes to put a hunt together inform me. Adults or others who wish to rise in rank may seek me out.

Following Tick-Tock was quiet work, the dominant female spent most of the venture in silence. I was grateful for the company nonetheless and didn’t mind the lack of idle conversation. Shortly after leaving Mecor Valley we had entered what could only be the Enocra Woodland and past that lay the vast hills of Asteraia. There were times when even the birds were silent and the only thing that could be heard was the sound of their muted footsteps. My time is spent observing the unseen territory and thinking of what is to come. I don’t stray too far from Tick-Tock even though I could easily follow her trail back to Asteraia if need be. The black she-wolf was like a bodyguard of sorts, if there was any trouble along the way my chances with the Monster by my side were greater than if I was on my own. Blue eyes glance over to the black queen at my side and a sense of gratitude washes over me. I wasn’t unaware of what I looked like in the eyes of others, but she had still bothered with a feeble creature like me. In a sense I was indebted to the fae, and if she would welcome me into her home I would be sure to prove my thanks.

As the duo had exited the timberland and navigated to the base of Tick-Tock’s territory I began to sense the presence she held. Even from a ways off I could begin to identify her aroma. Still in no man’s land between Enocra and Asteraia they came upon what looked like the scene of a battle. The paw prints still stamped into the hardened soil around a browned blood stain that smeared the earth like a birthmark. Scenarios begin to play in my head about what had happened but black lips stay shut, not wanting to disturb their peaceful silence with pointless questions when Tick-Tock seemed not the slightest bit interested with the area. As we near the hilled territory the black pelt of Tick-Tock touches my multicolored one and a smile graces my lips. If I had not known before I was fairly certain then that I would remain within Tick-Tock’s lands and so her touch is a welcomed one. I push myself firmly against her pelt to get more of her scent on me as if to solidify the claim.

The grass around us sways and the wind blows a distant ocean breeze in our direction. The ocean in question however was nowhere to be seen. Some of the soft rolling hills were hardly visible even when upon them. There were some that stretched higher than most and others who were only an unsightly lump upon the earth. Clusters of trees were scattered throughout the land in no particular pattern that I could see. They passed by animals not on their agenda and so they passed them with no incident. Another breeze brushes past them and carries with it the succulent scent of deer nearby. Tick-Tock is the first to pick up their odor, but I continue to take in deep breaths of the air to get more of their aroma into my lungs. I pick up my pace as the ebony she-wolf begins to navigate in the direction of their next meal.

It’s not long before we catch sight of our prey. A few does grace the meadow we have come upon, but the playful bodies of fawn are much more numerous and would be much easier to catch. I can’t help but let a quiet whine slip through my black lips over the excitement of a fresh fawn to gnaw on. I turn to Tick-Tock as her tranquil voice breaks the silence and I gaze at her with a look of excitement in my eyes,

"You definitely weren’t wrong, there’s so many to choose from. My mouth is watering just looking at them…"

A devious grin graces my lips now as I spot a pair of curious fawns nearing us, having no idea of our existence. Orbs lock onto the larger of the youngsters. I had spent my life chasing rabbits, a fawn would be no problem catching as long as it’s mother didn’t interfere. My body enters a stalking position, dial and tail lowered enough to be hidden but still floated above the ground to keep from brushing up against anything that would make too much noise. I slink closer to them, oblivious to whether or not Tick-Tock was still with me. I pause as I realize the tall grass that was my coverage was beginning to shrink closer and closer to the ground. It seems that my moment to shine was fast approaching and I either had to make a move now or never. My target’s back faces me when I lunge from the tall grass. They are oblivious to me right until my jaw crushes down on the throat of the baby deer. Quickly, I make my escape with the writhing creature in my clutches as its friend bolts back to its mother. The fawn is dead by the time I find Tick-Tock and I drop the dead animal at her feet like a cat bringing a present to its master.

OOC: Feel free to add her to the pack if you'd like :)
