Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

There is nothing as good as relaxing when one's body demanded it. I had nothing to require my attention for Grayson had gone off to do god only knew what. Boy had better keep himself out of trouble lest I give him more trouble to deal with. I was not the most pleasant of wolves and even less so when I was tired or worried. It was an inherited trait I was sure for my father had a tendency to be thus as well. My mother was much sweeter and I supposed that is why I wasn't as feral as I could be but I didn't try to mask my emotions most of the time. With a contented sigh I stretch out, closing my pale green-gray eyes as sleep rolls over me. How beautiful it is, how amazing, and I slip further into the dream world. I am on that point when deep rest has settled in when a voice jolts me awake. Immediately my large paws scrabble with the packed dirt as I jolt up, swaying in my half-awakened state and I let loose a string of vicious barks, growls, and snarls that might scare away whatever damn intruder thought to harangue me.

It took several moments of my glaring for me to realize what the female had said. "What the hell. Are you an idiot? You don't just stick your head in someones den you don't know and be asking about propositions. 'I have a proposition for you,'" I mock in a falsetto voice, head tipping side to side as I do but fangs still showing. "Back up, now," I order this female, plodding towards the entrance swiftly. She better move or I damn well would toss her ass back. My ears remained pinned to my head as I step out and glance over her. I sniff experimentally and catch a whiff of Spirane which intrigues me. Just slightly.

"Now what in the name of Hell did you want? You DO realize I could have ripped out your throat, right?" I wasn't going to make this easy on her because she had woken me up from sleep and who was she anyways? Morrigan, some blasted wolfess with a proposition. Now what could she offer me that I would want? I didn't see a big fat elk lying around, trust me, I scanned the area in hopes she was bringing food but settled back to scowling at her impatiently.
