The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

LIKE A WALK IN THE PARK, LIKE A HOLE IN YOUR HEAD
She was hunting. It was raining. Storming, really, with lightning illuminating the sky and thunder crackling like the sound of breaking bones. It wasn't often that Ehiyeh found herself outside of her den, but upon searching for something new to hunt she had spotted her brother on his way out of Glorall and grew curious. She did not necessarily enjoy his company but he was more bearable than most, and at least he understood her desire to fill her den with the corpses, pelts, and other parts of animals. She was a peculiar creature to say the least, quiet and a bit creepy, and very intense when she spoke of what she truly cared about.

As she moved through the grotto, Ehiyeh smelt many wolves all congregating around a certain cave, mixed in with the scent of her brother. She certainly wasn't one for gatherings of any sort, but curiosity overcame her. Perhaps she may not speak, but she could always observe. And so she headed towards the mouth of the cave, water dripping from her pelt, and headed inside. There were already a certain amount of wolves there and her brother was amongst them. Like a ghost, the girl moved through the group and deeper into the darkness, where she would be safe from conversation and anyone bumping into her.

She thought of what creatures must live within these inky depths, and the thought excited her. Ehiyeh was constantly thinking of new additions to her den, it seemed as though she could never get it out of her mind. She listened idly to the conversation with ears pricked, although her mind was elsewhere.
