Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Viserys
four - iblis x rhae - diveen
The long, summer-brown blades of grass brushed against his underbelly as he walked. It was cloudy, and the darkening of the clouds in the distance told of a storm later in the day. But for now, it was comfortably cool, the sun's rays unable to reach the ground due to the thick covering of clouds in the sky. Viserys walked along, peacefully, his gait a strange sort of hobble due to his backside. He was not alone this day, a close friend and even crush padded along beside him, and he felt comforted by her presence. It was not often that he left the safety of Diveen, but the summer weather was perfect for him. Other wolves may find heat to be unappealing and miss the cold of fall and winter, but the heat had always helped with his hindquarters. And so today he was easily able to keep up with his more limber companion.

"It's a nice day, isn't it? Cloudy and cool." He mused, his tail giving a few waves as he looked to the girl walking beside him. Ankh, she had been a constant friend and the subject of many of Viserys' thoughts these past few seasons. He wasn't sure how to work out his feelings for her, unlike many things in his life it was hard to think clearly when she crossed his mind. All he knew that looking at her made his heart hammer in his chest, and his skin heat up beneath his fur. She was kind and friendly and sharp, a little vain, but it suited her. She had a right to be, after all, and the cream-pelted wolf wondered why exactly she chose to converse with someone like him. He wasn't ugly, but he was crippled, and he could not run alongside her no matter how much he wanted to. But she had chosen him, at least for the time being, to spend time with.

"I have much to tell you. I held a gathering, for wolves who thought more deeply about the world. We discussed a lot of things... one being the worth of a wolf. Can you imagine? A bunch of wolves sitting around discussing the worth of themselves... it was quite the interesting conversation. And there were quite a few interesting guests." Viserys said with a chuckle, his tail waving behind him as they walked. "One had taken his pup from its mother and left a rabbit in its place."

He had enjoyed that gathering thoroughly and all the mental exercise it had given, and he thought himself a better wolf for all that had been discussed in his presence. And he was comforted in knowing that there were wolves similar to him, in the fact that they thought a bit differently. It had been refreshing. "Do you ever think about things like that, Ankh?" He said, pausing and glancing at her curiously. "Perhaps you may find such things trivial and unimportant but I find myself lost in thoughts like those often."
