She was back in Asteraia, back in the rolling hills she now called home. Anxiety still gnawed at her belly like an angry animal, anxious for the arrival of Samhain if he indeed did come. Nothing seemed able to calm her, and so she found herself under the shade of a cluster of trees, gnawing on the bone of some unfortunate animal to calm her nerves. It had seemed days had gone by when she hears the longing call of Samhain. Quick as a shadow she dashes towards his howl which still rang in her ears, galloping up and down the soft sloping hills.
As she races to the top of a low hill, her blue eyes first flicker to the towering mass that was Samhain, and then to his daughter who ambled happily along behind him. The delight on her face is unmistakable as she spots the two wolves she had met in Susil Crags not long ago, and who she now felt a strong attachment to. She aims to greet the large male first, her tiny body dwarfed next to him and closer in size to his young daughter. Her tail wags feverishly as she gets closer to them, and she gives Samhain a single lick to his bottom jaw when he is within reach.
Before bending down to greet Solstice, she burrows her head into Samhain’s chest and then sits down to better look up at him. Her smile is plain to see on her face as well as in her voice, ”I’m glad you’re here,” She lowers her head to Solstice now, nuzzling the small pup’s crème and white colored cheek, ”And you too little one.” She gets more comfortable now and sits on the grass before them. His call had been for Psyche as much as it had been Tick-Tock, so it would not be long before the Monster was with them.
