Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

How long have I been lost?

Nogtsune was pleased he didn’t have to take on the mother. It was a waste of energy and time. As lost as he was he didn’t desire to be harmed physically. He was already being stretched too far mentally. His solace had been his oldest companions driving him on; keeping him from giving in to his sorrows. This woman though, she was different. He was drawn to her and perhaps he couldn’t exactly explain it but it was true enough to him.

Her growls didn’t frighten him away for some reason no amount of warning would drive him away in these moments. She clutches her kill and despite the nature of their kind he looks perplexed. He would never take from her nor would he wish her to do without. As much as he wished to be closer he respected her space content with retuning to his kill as his eyes where permitted to lingered on her frame. As much as he wished to withdraw his gaze in politeness the thought made something in him ache.

She eyes the piglet for a few moments before standing. He is allowed to look at her properly; she is the night and the sun. No other was as she, the sun and night itself paled in comparison to her. When the two would meet and mingle the light cast over the land, it was nothing anymore; it wasn't the same. He shook himself trying to bring himself back to consciousness enough enough time to see the fem picking up his offering; he was elated. He hid his joy as well as he could before she returned to her own spot.

He had begun to eat after the fem returns to her first meal; before enjoying the fruits of his labor he simply had laid with his meal to the side lost in thought. He had managed to bring himself to finish his meal just as she finished her own which was an exceptional accomplishment as he paid little mind to his own food. She was majestic and regal and he watches silently as she pulls his gift closer. He had become concerned it wasn’t worthy enough it ached and burned in his mind; his gaze quickly faltering from her own.

Nogitsune only could draw himself from his pained thoughts as the fems voice reaches his ears and echos in his mind. Although her questioning wasn’t something he had expected it eased the storm that raged and so he allowed himself to ponder her question. He had no reason to offer anything to he would have not done so to another stranger and yet he had for this fem. Still he had no answer for her but he would still offer his reasoning. “You, you are something that I can not explain.” He was tentative in his wording for drawing her away rang in his mind and left an unspoken pain in his gaze. “You, the one who puts the sun and the night to shame; I can not offer you the answer you desire. For that reason I am sorry; but you, you, have done something to me. You have taken something from me.” He speaks carefully finding words becoming more difficult to string together.

He felt foolish, his words unlikely to make any sense to the fem. Perhaps she would think him crazy. Although his voice was confident and controlled his mind wasn’t the same he was drawn to speak again; “Nogitsune”. Mischievous, malicious, a trickster; his name so dark and unworthy to be near the creature of sun and night. He forces his gaze way from her and although he wished to have some kind of connection even visual he denied himself. “To me; you are of the sun; you are important and you illuminate a world that has become dark. You are light. You do not have to be protective of what is yours not from from myself at least; I will never take from you.” He said recalling how she guarded her kill from him. He kept his eyes averted and lowered waiting in silence hope to hear her voice once again.
