At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

Tiny paws tread across the moss, damp from the recent rains and melting snow, covering the forest floor like a soft green carpet. Seraphina could feel the water welling up around her feet with every step as her weight pressed on the plants. The lass like the way the cool water felt on her paws, which were sore from walking. It felt like she had walked forever. Being a small pup in a big world wasn’t always that fun. Especially when you were following your big sister to some far away land. Some very, very far away land.

Speaking of her big sister, it had been a while since Seraphina had caught sight of Dante. She’d only caught little ones before since she had been pretty far behind the older ess. Sera was mostly going off scent to find Dante, which was thankfully not very difficult. She wondered if her sister would be impressed that she’d tracked her all this way. Seraphina hoped so. Dante was so cool. Fina wanted to be just like her when she grew up and she craved validation that she felt only Dante could give. Nothing could make her eyes light up like that could.

To any onlooker, Seraphina just looked like some pup hopping around in the water, doing nothing important or interesting, but she was. At least, she felt she was. She was nearing Dante, she knew it. The scent was a lot stronger now, so it was fresh. As Fina bounced through the puddles and moss, she noticed several other scents following a similar path to her sister’s. Were they looking for her too? If they were, they couldn’t have her. Sera had first dibs, being the younger sibling.

When the pup broke through the forest and bounded onto the soft bank, where she promptly left deep imprints from her landing, she saw her sister and three other wolves. But Seraphina couldn’t have cared less about them. For her, the only important one was her big sister. Leaping at the group, she didn’t bother to listen or wait for a good moment to interrupt and just barreled on through, quite literally throwing herself at the older ess’ feet.
