Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Despoina
A Little Missunderstood

So Spirane had fallen. Not only had the mountains fell to a new Alpha, but once again Despoina’s sister was nowhere to be seen. The woman’s heart clenched at the thought of once more losing track of her deaf sister, one of the only ones who was able to truly calm the raging soul that dwelled in her. For the longest time, Myra was the only one who could entice Despoina to play. Now, the stones had shifted and now Despoina had nothing to stand on. Not only had her life and realization about herself been turned on its side, but she did not know where she could find the one ‘listening’ ear she knew would always be there for her. The growls that had once subsided from her throat had begun to rumble through her chest again. Once more she slipped from the mists of the moors and into the common lands of Moladion.

The changing of the seasons was nearly lost on the moor wolf. After a year in Iromar she had become used to the sticky wet heat the tended to plague the territory. So when she looked around it seemed to her as though the trees were on cold fire. Her eyes narrowed at them and she scented the air, just to see if the crisp of the fall around her could pull her from her thoughts. It could not and she growled again, her eyes falling back to the ground under her paws.

A soft breeze ruffled her fur, and with it brought a familiar scent. This time, lifting her nose she looked curiously in the direction the wind had come. For a moment she thought about turning back. Turning away from the woman who had come into her life as oddly as she had. Despoina even turned her body to look in the direction back to Iromar. Another growl hissed through her lips and she turned back around, almost stomping her way down the path to the fallen log, and Eleanor laying on the rotting wood.

“Eleanor.” She greeted cooly. Ears flattened against her own conflicting emotions, she looked over the lone woman, who smelled so sweet, but of no land. A lingering silence and Despoina tilted her head, leaning slightly closer. “Are you alone?” The words were different than the actual question she asked. Eleanor smelled of no home save the common lands. Despoina smelled of a pack and of others. One of the two was alone, but it was very possible they were both lonely.
