aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

Before her daughter and her Queen went off to find herbs, Sebring greeting her sweetly - 'It’s good to see you again Hellene.' Hellene smiled at her and dipped her head before setting to her task, organizing everything she had gathered together, setting them up nice and neat before pushing off, trotting after the queen. Her path was easy to follow in the remaining mud that lined the whole of the territory, following her down first to the river, and then around the territory while she found the first three plants that they had talked about last time - none of them would particularly harm her, and so while she allowed the Queen to carry these ones, she nearly objected when she got to the poppy. Luckily though, Sebring pulled it up by the roots and carried it gently, not puncturing the stem at all. Hellene nodded silently in approval and followed her back to the clearing, watching as the pair prepared poultices on their limbs. "Much better, both of you. Practice makes perfect..." She had then turned her attention to the newcomer and had addressed Vita and spoke to her to catch her up on today's lesson. After repeating herself, she had once again set off to follow Sebring, ensuring that she did not pick any of these plants, for they had more side effects than the first set of herbs.

She found first the feverfew and Hellene smiled at her, gently digging around it and lifting it from the ground so that it would be fertile for replanting. She dropped it, however, so that she could answer the fae's question. "Lady's Mantle really prefers to grow in moist areas, especially near rivers and streams so I would suggest you look there." Gently, her maw closed around the feverfew as she trotted behind her to the patch of Echinacea that she had found, and once they were there she placed upon the ground once more so that she could dig up a single root of Echinacea as she had with the feverfew. "I am glad you had come across this, I actually need to add some to my own garden - I had previously been travelling out of the pack to get mine. Why don't you sit for a moment and rest while I did up two roots of this - one for you and one for me." The timberess smiled gently at the Alphess, gesturing to her growing abdomen, before setting to work. "As always, feel free to ask me about any plants you do not know. I cannot promise that I know it - there are far too many in the world to have a name for each of them - but I'll do my best. As for your tiring... I will get you some chamomile. It should relax you and calm your muscles. After we get you home and start your meager garden, I will get some from mine even as I plant this Echinacea." Having finished digging up the Echinacea, she picked up the two plants and the Feverfew, and began to follow her again.

Just as Hellene had said, the Alphess found the final plant at the stream's bank. "Good job, Sebring. Why don't you start back while I dig this up for you, I will meet you back in the clearing." Hellene took more care with this plant, ensuring that she did not break its skin at all, and carried it by the root. When finally she arrived back at the clearing, she found that everyone had gathered already, and Hellene laid the plants at Sebring's paws. "Since you both wanted, gardens, I will help you dig them today. I really don't have much to tell you Elsewise on these particular herbs. We will do more in a few weeks. Khaleesi, dear, why don't you travel back to our den and start digging shallow holes, perhaps six inches deep? I will be along shortly. You should find a good size rock and start pushin it toward home. We will put some moss on it and each day it will be your responsibility to water it to make sure the moss grows nice and strong. Sebring, why don't you head home as well and I will meet you there. I just need to catch Vita up so she isn't behind you two. Actually, these need to be planted sooner rather than later. Khaleesi, would you mind terribly showing Vita and teaching her about the first three plants and teach her about poulticing? I would appreciate it, love. afterward, meet me at home and we will get your garden started, hmm?"

Hellene picked up the plants she had gathered for Sebring and herself, along with Khaleesi's herbs, and started to turn. "I will drop these off at my den and meet you at yours Sebring. I imagine it will take you a bit longer." Hellene winked at her, before taking off at a gentle lope.
