Today started out like any other day. She woke up, left her den, took a few laps of water from the river that was weaving in front of her home, and then set out to walk through the fields. She wandered around meeting any wolf that made her way to her, answering their question, helping them out with anything that needed, all and all she was trying to fulfill her role as their Alpha. It was autumn now. The tall grasses of the fields were getting shorter and a bit thinner, their bright emerald blades transforming into a honey brown. It wouldn’t be long until winter came. She would have to make sure her pack was well fed through these colder months, and she would have to find a new head hunter soon. Although Eric was strong and very successful he was getting long in the tooth and Tick Tock knew that this winter just might be his last. She would watch and observe him, make sure he was comfortable, because he was alone in this world, only Cuirass was around and the young pup would need help during this transformation.
Earlier that morning she watched her daughter play beside a young pup equal to her age. He was born of the mountains and he chose to come here and live. Tick Tock was pleased that her daughter gained a friend and the Monster was glad to have new blood within her fields. This year their population had grown which meant they were much stronger than the previous years. With Jaidah gone and dead she could focus more on her members rather than healing from her wounds and preparing for another useless fight. She was content to watch the two as they played near the borders of the woodlands a top the hill, lying down underneath the warm sun, allowing its rays to warm her cold bones. Dark sapphire eyes drifted away from the children towards the borders that reached the woodlands, taking note of two figures stopping, both ears twitched forward in interest. Feeling a bit uneasy she let out a warning bark, wanting Nevermore and her mountain-born friend to remain where they were, slowly picking herself up as she heard her presence being called.
She was in no hurry to meet them. She walked down the hill and past the two pups heading for the border. There was no need for her to carry her banner in such a lofty manner behind her nor was there need to lift her crown above them. She oozed out intimation and power without having to show it and she felt there was no need to act so obnoxiously as other Alphas would. Azure eyes flickered from the honey coated she-wolf that was settled behind the familiar dark and light pelted wolf, one that was once a visitor and approved unwanted playmate of her companion. Puzzled her dial titled to the side looking from him to the girl and then back. Her jaw parted slightly as her cold voice dripped smoothly from her grey lips, speaking gently at the two.
“Tithe, what brings you back to Asteraia?”
