The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Gods may bleed among mortals...

My form stays there, waiting for the girl to come patiently. It feels really great to sit here with nothing to worry about, besides death at my tail. It is real good. Especially when I’m waiting for a pillow to come. Just the thought of letting my head lay down on her again makes me smile. But the way I left her was terrible. There was no way I could tell her what was happening, how the angels were after me. I liked her and.. I really wanted to have my pillow out of this. I don’t want to see her hurt.

When she does come into view, I smile and wave my tail as she approaches me. But concern is all I see when she comes closer.

- Yes, I’m am back for you, heh..,

I told her gently and looked away for a second as she commented.

- Oh, that was just… Mistakes I made. Bad wolves. It is alright, I managed to get away. I’ll be alright.

I assured her.

- I’m so sorry for leaving you. I got out of the cave and the next thing I knew, these wolves attacked me. Apparently got into their territory… Or something

I tried to explain to her in a way she wouldn’t hate me. Inanna is a nice girl and one of the few who didn’t just judge me for what I did and it is hard to admit it, but. I’m afraid that someday she will. I’m afraid that someday she will judge me, just like the others. Losing that girl could be a very painful experience.

- But I’m here again.

I told her and smiled softly, wagging my tail gently and trying to show her that despite being hurt, I’m alright. I’ve been worse.
