Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Dragonfly huffed out in exasperation. She’d been trying to fit in and help make the other female comfortable, but apparently being friendly was uncommon and frowned upon. She looked over her shoulder at the female, more obsessed with the tone of the white wolf’s voice than she was with the question. Her sensitivity to negativity was probably coming from her own loneliness. Packs sat poorly with her because they caused unnecessary violence and being a loner didn’t sit well because of the never ending sense of being expendable. It was a frustrating experience, establishing her self in an area on her own.

Her parents had taught her the way of the things, but they hadn’t specified how to follow that way. Dragonfly replied to the female cordially, “It’s not that I haven’t known that snow is drinkable - I have just never seen it licked off trees before. I - Dragonfly, by the way - come from the tundra; no trees there. Where was it that you grew up?”

She turned her head to her acquaintance and watched her with wide, pleasant eyes. Maybe she had finally found a friend in this wolf, who at least wasn’t tying to eat her and also met the criteria of a loner.
