At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

Test My Will, Test My Heart

_________________________________________________________________________

Things in the female’s life had perked up as of late. What had been a boring and seemingly useless existence in a pack that seemed to have disappeared except for herself and her brother, had turned into a life that had purpose and meaning again. She could not have predicted that Aindreas, her brother, would come back to Moondown Shadows one day with three little pups. What was also surprising was that there was no female with him. Aindreas and Adara had an interesting upbringing. For many years, Adara did not know that her brother existed. Their mother had left him, for some reason that she still did not understand. And of course that had impacted Aindreas’ personality and who he was. She never thought that he would have pups with someone that was not a mate, not after what their mother had done. But Adara was not one to judge and she would not question her brother’s motives.

But now, Adara had three new reasons to go on with her life, Sin, Psycho and Disaster. She had thought of having pups of her own, but she knew that it would not be until she had found the right varg. She understood the desires that hormones and other things could make a wolf feel, she herself had felt such desires, but she had never allowed herself to act on them. Maybe it was those desires that had led Aidnreas to have these pups that he did. Every day when the grey and silver femme awake, she had three little beings to greet and teach new things to. Especially with her brother’s recent absence she had grown very close to the three pups. And now she couldn’t imagine her life without them in it. Life before the pups seemed so dull and pointless, but now she had them and her brother still to keep her happy and going.

For the past week or so, Adara had been in charge of the pups while Aindreas was gone, but now both him and Striker had returned to Moondown and she decided to take the day off from babysitting and take a day to herself. After a quick pack meeting with Striker and her family, she left the group, heading out of Moondown’s terra for the day. Her plume waved lazily behind her as her paws carried her through the trees. She had no specific destination in mind, just deciding to let her paws take her wherever they wanted. After some time of aimless wandering, she caught the scent of the large lake that was shared within the territory of Blossom. She had not visited the lake in a while, and since it was a beautiful spring day out she figured she would go and explore near the water a bit. Adara picked up the pace a bit, her stilts carrying her swiftly through the trees now that she had a destination in mind. When her paws touched the rocky gravel she slowed, letting her tongue loll out of her maw as she panted a bit. Blue orbs focused on the lake after glancing around briefly. There were always other beings here, but it was a neutral place and hostilities did not often occur here, so she felt safe and at ease.

As her head reached down to lap at the water, she paused for a moment, unsure if the water looked and smelt as it normally did. She saw others drinking it though and thought that maybe it was because she had not been here for a while and began to drink. The water was just as cool and refreshing as she had remembered, and she was no longer worried about it. After drinking deeply for a few moments she noticed that her head felt a little funny, not bad, but funny. Some of the trees around the lake looked a little blurry and were swaying. A giggle escaped her lips, and the sound surprised her, but she liked it and let out another one. Her fur felt like it was standing on edge and electrified, and the rocks under her paws felt especially slippery and wet. Blue orbs once more looked about her, wanting to share the euphoric feelings with someone. Then her artics focused on one varg, a handsome male. A very handsome male actually, white in color, and he seemed to be approaching her. She was not usually shy, but she suddenly felt shy, wondering what she would say to him and afraid of sounding or acting silly. But then the feelings went away and without her approval, her paws starting walking towards him, plume wagging behind her so he would know she was friendly. ”Hey there handsome.” The words that came out shocked her. Adara never spoke or acted like this, what was going on? Instead of being concerned though a giggle escaped her once more. ”I’m Adara. What’s your name?” She couldn’t keep her paws still, and she found herself walking around him, looking him over, and silently agreeing with herself that this male was indeed one of the most attractive ones that she had encountered. A weird confidence, almost cockiness, filled her, and bright blue orbs reached to meet his own gaze.
