The forest itself has many secrets. Some were wonderful, while others were a mix of lurid and creepy. But sometimes, one just had to risk it and come. Times had passed, and instead of white and brown, the trees, ground, and the whole nine yards had burst into a wonderful color. Creatures big and small were now colored so perfectly, if she ever saw them. Being a brilliant white, Amber watched them flee from her large wolf form. It was nature, and it was natural. They should run from her, for her might start feeling a bit hungry and anyone left behind might be the filler.

Of course, at other times, the shadows seemed to move upon their own. No, wait, THAT had never happened before at all. Forest green eyes, deepening in color whilst in the shadows, narrowed down on the rare event. What an idiot she was, for this was not a mystical moving shadow. It a was tiny, strangely colored wolf. One that had stopped to watch the deer that she had scared away only moments before. Now the wolf, Amber would have said fox if not for the smell, began getting a drink, and then like a pup, began laughing and following something down the river. Clearly, there was no rush.

Stopping for her own drink, the snowy white she-wolf gazed her foresty green eyes down on the other, a mixed of black and dark brown skittering farther and father away. Why not follow her a bit more, to see if she could be trusted... Something that small might have bigger, nastier friends right around the bend.
