Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

A SLEEPLESS malice as black as the oncoming wall of night
So it ever was. So will it always be. Such is the nature of evil.

The heat that rolls in from the continent is eased by the breeze across the ocean. The salty tang of the air is bearable but Underidge prefers the winter months when the breeze is unnecessary. Still, he hates it too for being so cold. Such a conundrum of things is the silver tipped creature. The morning had begun with a stretch of lean legs, the necessary popping of bones to relieve tension and then crawling out of his den and gritting his teeth against the way the warmth slams into him. He shakes out his matted fur, ignoring the dirt that flies from it while mercurial eyes scan the surrounding area. It is so familiar to him. The past has been all but forgotten - he does not care where he lived before. There seems to be very few 'before' times since the meeting of Eden.

A scent beckons from the ocean. Familiar and yet not. It tastes of Eden and of others, diluted. It reminds him of the boy that Eden demands he will fix and thus the Thorn would do what was necessary. He would enjoy it too. He ambles towards the beach in such a haphazard way one might think he was a coyote. A few times he catches himself gnashing his teeth, his excitement growing; this would be the day. Eden did not have to call him because they both knew such things. They were linked much the same as Under was linked with the Shade inside of him.

The space opens up into beach, mounds, and shorter grasses and he grimaces. Such open spaces offend his senses, the light too bright and the world too.. visible. Still, he detaches himself from the shadows and makes his way across the sand towards a familiar area that most of the wolves traveled on. A well worn path drives from here into the forested areas. Underidge is a vicious creature but also typically quiet but today he will not be. Today he lifts his head just a little and lets loose a jagged cry, clipped and jolting, so that Eden knows he awaits. Bring the boy, it says, because today he will eliminate weakness here once and for all.
