Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

israfel

Maybe it was in his blood to be a quick learner. He didn't know - he'd never asked. It didn't matter though because, well, he'd fast learned in any case that it was almost too to agitate the old man. It made him beam internally, chuffed with his own efforts. Hell, he totally was not even trying. Did things like that come naturally? He half tilted his head to himself in question, having shrugged off the male's threats. Besides, it was him that needed to watch out. Did he forget about just how quick a kid could be?

And damn did it feel good to run! It felt even better to run away from some sore loser who would have to deal with the agony of watching a kid rip apart his meal and swallow it all down. Israfel had been kind at least - he'd left Jackdaw one prairie dog. One was good right? Like Jackdaw said anyway, Israfel was a little bastard and so, he definitely needed more food than some grown man. He laughed at the thought. He laughed hard and so did karma.

The way he flipped might have made him laugh had it not caught him entirely off guard. The sand had slipped beneath him in a wondrous fashion as Jackdaw closed in fast behind him; the older male leaped and Israfel fell behind, his head turned and eyes wide as the prairie dogs fell from his mouth. Time seemed to slow. In fact, he was positive time had slowed. Had anybody ever told Jackdaw just how silver his eyes were?

When he landed, Jackdaw's legs had wrapped around his shoulders. Coincidentally, he had turned his head at just the right moment, his nose bopping squarely into the older male's. His eyes were wide, fixated on the other's - "Oh, my god," the words had come out before he had meant them too, his nose but a hair away from the male's, "ew! Ew! No! Did you just kiss me!?" Their noses had touched after all. They had bopped together. Did that count?

And so, he suddenly shot back and scrambled away, twisting and squirming in the sand as he broke free. Yet, he never let his eyes be taken off Jackdaw's. "Well damn if you wanted to punish me, you didn't have to do that!" He paused, his chest rising and falling heavily in both shock and exertion. "Is that what you meant by real creeping?" He... had no words. Not entirely. The eyes of the prairie dogs several feet away stared up at him sadly and yet, he swore he could see them beaming with entertainment. Karma truly was awful.
