Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Inara was confused, hurt and unaware of why the one she depended on had left. She could eat on food left by the adults but she didn’t find much of it all too often. Black and gold forepaws dug into the soft sand near the water. She didn’t want to get in the water but it was mysterious all the same to the young pup. Maybe she wouldn’t quite understand why people left but she moved away from the place she cast her gaze. Inara moved slowly walking along the shoreline thinking and questioning. She wanted to see needed to understand holding a slight resent towards the woman who created her.

A soft childish growl escaped her maw her frame slightly shaking. She didn’t like being alone and yet at the same time she didn’t want to rely on anyone else but the gnawing sensation that clawed at her very insides taught her she would need to help. She needed to learn how to hunt needed some help but she was going to try this on her own she stuck her nose to the ground, cream, golden, and black bodice moved gracefully; starting to fit her paws now, to a hole in the ground where the sand-thickened into soft, grass laden earth.

Large paws dug desperately into the burrow hearing small murmuring she dug until she was tired. Before the mother hair could move her last kit she managed to snatch it between her small jaws dragging it away. She was tired and it required a lot of effort but she secured a meal. She carried the small prize to the shade of a tree; laying there panting briefly before digging into her meal. She was very proud to gain such a prize despite a lack of hunting skill. Against all the odds, Inara was determined to stay alive.
