Red tipped tail wagged through the snow and head tilted at his words. It was amazing just to be able to listen to someone who spoke to her as if she were real, and as if she were welcome. It was a comfort to her shattered soul. She learned that if she pretended to be brave, put on the mask of normality, the world may open up and look blindly at the pup that was really a spawn. A hunter? She grinned. She was not a hunter, and she would not be. Bringing down a prey was not something she, or she, could do. Or so Pariah had decided.
Grinning, she put his name into her memory. She did not know where, or when it would become useful, but one way or another she was sure it would. Her tail began to wag ever faster, the pup growing more excited by these new and different experiences.
Breath hitched in her throat. Fun and games, something entirely new and different for her. Bloody eyes lit up with an innocence that could not have been faked. She got to her feet and leapt off the stone. Ears perked forward she stepped around Halcyon, managing to contain her excitement simply because she was in utter awe.
