Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

She seemed to grow more accustomed to his presence when he spoke, certainly the use of her language had eased her mind. He tilted his head at her comment, a good-natured half-smile on his face. "How were my parents to know I was not going to grow up to be fearsome?" It was clear that even to him the idea was absurd, that he would ever strike fear into the hearts of others. It was simply not in his nature, and it would never be. Senketsu was hardly even territorial, far preferring to work things out with words rather than the spilling of blood over something arbitrary.

Senketsu listened to her as she spoke with rapt attention, wanting to know more about her and where she came from. "You have traveled a long way, then, Koi." He said curiously, the unspoken question being 'Why?' He was glad that she was relaxed enough to share these things with him, and he was enraptured by her lively way of speaking, and the gentle lilt of her voice when speaking her mother tongue. He was sure that his speech was far less enjoyable to hear. His voice was a bit raspy, a bit too high-pitched, and he spoke like he was constantly musing over something. Nevertheless, Koi seemed to enjoy talking to him, and that was good enough.

Koi questioned him about the nature of these lands and he took a moment to mull over what she asked. "I don't know much about these lands, not yet. I do know that it is called Moladion." Senketsu took a moment to seat him, gesturing slightly for her to sit if she wished. "There are packs here, and I believe them to be mostly friendly towards each other. Though many prefer to be on their own, traveling and seeking refuge when they need it. Perhaps they do not wish to be weighed down by a pack, but then again, there is strength in numbers. I can't tell you for sure." He shrugged.

"I came here with my friend Meteor Rain, and he and I traveled for quite some time. We were seeking a legend that originated where we come from... a land called Wolf Mountain, where wolves could breathe fire and there were dragons flying through the sky." Senketsu smiled, then. "I'm not convinced it exists. And Moladion seems to have enough legends to keep me entertained for quite some time, I think."
