Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

with every rain comes a fresh breath of life

He hadn’t seen who had done it, what had happened but he knew something was wrong. Dulled as his senses were in the cold he couldn’t really detect the scents of both wolves. The thick pine and leaf scent of Solstice stood out from the grassy hills of Asteraia, but the smell of blood won out against everything. She had been hurt, that was what stood out now. The wolf didn’t know he was ruining some other’s plans to kill. But he would be pleased when he found out. Wolves murdering other wolves was not how the chain worked. Fights would break out for territories, skirmishes for ranks, but murdering, and in some cases cannibalizing… that was not normal. Not when Moladion was still rich with prey. Why would wolves prefer to attack, to eat their own kind? Though it seemed wolves with those particular cravings have been rare as of late. Still it didn’t mean that this child wasn’t the victim of something.

Carefully Ame tried to slip himself down the edge of the crevice, he could hear her soft pleading of him to help. Once he was low enough he dared the jump the rest of the way. Down here out of the winds he could see the trail of very small prints leading away from the scene. Cramped as they were though and with her injured he wasn’t about to leave. She was very young, but not super small. Still he did his best to lay by her placing his slightly larger form around her own. ”It’s best This One stays with you down here for now.” He looked up the wind howled above them, but they were at least out of the worst of it. ”You will be okay now, this one promises.” He tries to ensure her looking back up the small crevice to which they were staying in.

Right now all he could do was look at the sizable chunk of flesh that was removed from her shoulder without his healing stuff which regrettably wasn’t with him. He could clean it, but right now even that would do little. Honestly the best thing to do was to let the cold numb it and freeze shut with the cold then get it properly treated once they were out of here. ”What happened?” He wanted to know part of him still wanted to follow the trail of the one who did it, but the little forest girl needed him for now. Perhaps she knew who had done it, perhaps he could find them later and do something about them.
