The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

Lurking in his home was something he normally did, but this day he returned after being out for the whole day - something he normally didn't do. Yet he found comfort in someone other than Azula, sure she was rude and sassy at times but she was scared. It made him wonder what whispers went around Blossom of Abendrot. It must be horrible things to have her, a woman of ranking as high as he in another pack, scared of him. Hellene didn't seem to be a fighter but she definitely seemed to have a spunk to her. She was different. Beautiful beyond belief, yes, but why would she ever be interested in him? He shook his head. He had only met this woman once, it wasn't right of him to already start jumping to ideas. But as the year had gone on he found himself growing lonely. Azula was but a memory.

He sighed softly, his first friend and she had been gone for so long. She had been before, but not for this long. It worried him. He slept that night in an oak, climbing up from the large base branches that stemmed out from the trunk. The stars had a new shine to them, the moon a new meaning. He was coming to realize he had a purpose in life. He just didn't know it yet. Every living thing is destined to live a certain roll, even if it's a short one. It made him wonder why he was still there now, but in a way he was okay with waiting to see what he had in store for him.

When dawn came, the Spartan rose from the tree, his rubies adjusting to the light as he lept down. He started towards home, trekking land. Leaves scattered the ground as he made his way home silently. He came to the border, but found a soul wandering. His audits flicked forward as he realized it was Grey Wind. He came closer, giving a small smile to the King. "Good morning, my King. Would you like any company while scouting?" He asked, his voice it's usual low and gruff tone that vibrated the chest cavity.
