She would learn he was not one to be easily controlled. If he wanted to do something, he would, the world be damned. Along the beaches of the bay Thoth poked here and there at the frozen earth. Huffs of breath were all that showed his irritation at the lack of secrets the land gave him. At long last his nose pressed to something that gave way under the pressure. His tail lifted to another single wag and he began digging at once. Now the earth was swift to give up its prizes. A satisfied thrum of pleasure vibrated in his broken vocal as he placed his prize in the small fox den. Spinning to Sekhmet, his hackles bristled and teeth bared menacingly. This was his treasure. She knew of its location because he deemed it so. A betrayal of its location would run deep. Vengeance would be swift. He was trusting her with this secret. Pact issues, his fangs were resheathed. His face became pleasant once more. Now he would follow her where she desired. Though the brink of the ice of the bay was attractive, he knew the dangers of cold water beneath.
