Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

Cenmatl

He could see her relief but the feelings that shot through him were telling him otherwise. She was still angry at him, he didn’t know how he knew but he did. Did imprinting really tell him how she felt? Were some of the random feelings he felt hers when they were apart? He didn’t know for sure. His grandfather explained he knew what his own imprint felt all the time. This was the only excuse Cenna had for these feelings were they weren’t his. Still he waited ears folding back at her bubbling emotions, the black ears only pressing harder when he felt the pain and sadness added there too. He really hurt her that day when he had run away. But he wasn’t running this time, and he wasn’t exactly excited or proud last time when they had all met up in Diveen.

”Cenmatl. He offered almost immediately. ”My name is Cenmatl, grandson of Coszcotl of Taviora.” He didn’t desire her name as she did his. He knew a lot of her just by being around her already. He didn’t hold it from her, he didn’t want to not if it meant maybe making her feel better. ”What about you, matini? What is your name?” He had a bad habit of slipping into Nahuatl now and then, but it was not a bad one. It meant spirited one. Least in short. But it was only fair after all her badmouthing.

He can’t say he felt good about how it all happened but he hoped that maybe now that he had a little more confidence in himself that maybe he could work on getting her forgiveness. He didn’t want her to be mad at him anymore. It was the axiom of imprinting after all, though he hardly had fit it before when he fled from her, now he just wanted to help her, be there as he could. That was what imprinting was. He would tell her whatever it was she wanted of him if it meant making her happier with him. But if she wanted to know about him, there wasn’t a lot to him to be honest. However, maybe there was to her, and he wouldn’t mind learning about her either.
