During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

The male had not been doing much as of late. In the past he had duties as an alpha to always keep him busy, even when things in the pack grew quiet. Not that he couldn’t do some activities as a pack member of the new pack, but it was different not be required to. But he was not the type to just sit around, so he still tried to help out by doing border patrols. If anything it was just to keep his paws busy and his form active. But even still, Summer had grown bored and had wandered in and out of the packlands. For a while he had wanted to keep an eye on Nzingha. Not because he didn’t trust her or think that she would be doing anything bad, but because he wanted to make sure that she was safe. He knew that the world was dangerous and he wanted to protect her from such dangers, even if she didn’t want him to. Summer had hoped that him and Nzingha would grow closer, but she had not spent too much time with them after they went to Munashii Gekko. Instead she had been out and about with Danger when they first arrived. Summer was not upset or bothered by this though, but she was still family and he would make sure that she remained safe.

Once Summer was sure that Nzingha was old enough to take care of herself, he began to leave the packlands. It was nothing against the pack, he just liked to go out on trips for short periods of time and explore and meet new wolves. But he always came back home. Sometimes he was only gone for a day, sometimes up to a week depending on where he traveled to. The smoky colored brute just wanted to keep himself busy while things within the pack had quieted down. But having quiet in the pack was not necessarily a bad thing. It meant that things were safe and there was not drama going on. It made coming and going much easier. If there was anything threatening the pack, then Summer would never think of leaving. But instead the alphas had done a good job of keeping the pack as a safe haven and the brute knew that his family would safe when he was not around, and that he would not be missing to defend and protect the pack should anything happen.

Once more, Summer had gone out to explore other areas of the forest. Snow covered the lands and his paw steps left tracks in the freshly fallen snow as he made his way back home. The air was chilly, but the sun was warm where it touched his smoky grey pelt. Yellow orbs were alert to what was around him as he crossed the familiar borders. His attention was caught when her heard the alphess, Ameria, call through the trees for the pack. With a smile on his features he turned to answer her call. He hoped that Nzingha would come as well, it had been too long since he had seen her. When he arrived to where Ameira had called from, he saw that only one other lupine was there. Horizon, one of the few kalaks that Summer had encountered, was there, but he did not look good. Blood and gore covered his form, and Summer looked on in concern. It was not his place to ask, but he hoped that his packmate was okay, even if he didn’t look to be as well as he could have been. His attention turned back to the alphess though, bowing his head to her in greeting. ”Hello Ameira, I hope you have been doing well.” Summer sat a few feet away from Horizon, but if he caught the other male’s gaze he would nod in greeting to him as he waited for the meeting to get underway.
