Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Tauriel
do not go

A small, almost imperceptible smirk pulled at the edges of her maw as he ran forward, splashing into the waters and beginning to paddle his way across the lake towards the island. After a moment, she lowered to her hindquarters and averted her gaze, glancing off towards the tree root the protruded from the sandy terrain and protected the cairn she had made what seemed like eons ago now. At the sound of shaking water from one's pelt, a single black and white ear flicked towards Ame, her duo toned eyes quickly following. Rising to her paws, she remained where she was as she dipped her head slightly in greeting. She glanced around at his words, nodding her agreement as she looked back to him once more. "I come here often; it is a peaceful place away from the rest." The tumultuous times that Spirane had gone through in her youth had made the girl want something more unwavering. And she could only find that stability in herself, by overcoming her shy tendencies and relying on her own paws and fangs to sustain her livelihood.

She began to take notice of his different way of speaking, and her bright green eyes haloed in orange focused on those of pale blue, taking notice of the tiny flecks of yellow. As he moved to seat himself, she shadowed his movements and sat again. In the back of her mind she couldn't help but wonder if she looked a bit odd standing and sitting and standing and then sitting again. She didn't want to be a fidgety, nervous thing anymore. Her goal was to exude confidence and be confident, so she did her best to repress the thoughts and focus on the here and now. "I am Tauriel," she said. This young male seemed very kind, and Tauriel thought him a pleasant wolf to keep company with. And yet, she did not wish to give away too much of herself too quickly. She had done that with the boys she had last visited this island with, and then never seen them again. They had thrown her trust away like dust in the wind. At first impression, Ame didn't seem to be that type of wolf, but then again neither had Herschel.

"It is nice to meet you, Ame," she said, "What brought you to the lake today?" Her time apart from other wolves had changed her in ways she hadn't planned or foresaw. Her determination to rely only upon herself had created an underlying suspiciousness of other wolves. The girl did not want to be hurt again, and yet she wanted to be able to trust others and find friendship in them. It was a vexing opposition within her mind, one that waged subconsciously and without her truly realizing it was happening.
