Her scent and now that of the pup had been washed clean as she pulled her large form from the river the summer sun sinking its rich fangs into her black pelt. She was grateful that the water would cool her as she dried and most go her trip shade was abundant. Holding the child became more of a nuisance but the idea of a happy Thoth was overly appealing to her mind so she was welcome to put the thought of the child and any noises it wished to make aside tuning it out as she finally made it from the valley into the shelter of the woodlands mighty trees.
Sekhmet was a creature who rarely felt so this sensation and a desire to rest but even in the shade she knew it was hot. She searched through the trees to find a stream and lowered the pup between her paws just tightly enough he couldn’t make an escape. She gorged herself on water, however, unwise it might be before nudging the child ensuring he would drink, perhaps it was underlying nature or simply because she wanted it to be living for Thoth she wasn’t sure but she too great cautious with the child. She picked Zeru up once more taking him by the base of a tree that held a small hollow. He placed him inside before wrapping herself around it and lying down letting the sun sink before her mind allowed her to go any further.
The sun had disappeared being replaced by the moonlight and a black star filled the sky. She took Zeru between her jaws soon slinking her way back into the grasslands. She knew some of his places and she wandered to them all she lowered Zeru and lightly pressed her paw against him;
