The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

MEN SHOULD KEEP THEIR WORD,

The two vargs both seemed to be checking each other out, making sure that they indeed were who they thought they were. Daenerys must know it was him since she had called for him specifically, but she probably wanted to make sure he was not an imitation like he wanted to make sure she was. His side was a bit easier though, since none but the Targaryen’s had her unique facial features. Finally, the male asked why she had come to his pack and asked for him. He no longer called himself Stark and did not have any affiliations with the old world that he had come from. He had not been back to those lands since he left, and neither had Summer as far as he knew. So she must have a reason for seeking him out like this. "I am sorry to hear about your family. I've heard they were lovely, sweet, courageous, honorable, I'm sure I would have loved to meet them." Grey Wind had never been one to show emotion, and he didn’t now. He gave the female a shrug, acknowledging her words in his own way.

The femme looked back up to him as she continued, “But I would like to offer you a deal. I am the very last of my bloodline, The Dragon. As you can see, I am pregnant from my departed lover. I will bare healthy, strong children and I will take my throne back. It will take men. It will take blood. My enemies will fall." Grey Wind remained silent as she got to her paws, lifting her plume up. Depending on her next words he could take that as a threat. She had come to his pack, the pack that he was alpha of, and their packs history didn’t change that, but he let her finish before jumping to any conclusions. "I need men. I need a place to live and raise my children until they're strong. They're of my blood, dire wolves. They will grow quickly and will be large and strong with due time. If you provide a place to live and provide men for me for when the time comes to war with the Lannisters, and believe me, it will come, I will give my word to bring you and your loved ones with me when I triumph."

The male remained silent for a moment, thinking over her words. It had been so long since he had thought about home and alliances and politics. There was some of that here in Blossom, but not as intricate and complicated as the many packs and families from his home land. What he did know was that he was not going to leave Abendrot, not for anyone. And he doubted that many of the wolves here would leave, and he would never ask them to. Abendrot was their home, the only place that accepted and understood these wolves. But he could deny that he still felt pulls to his home and to the packs there. The Starks had allied with the Targaryens, they had worked under them before the Lannisters took over. And the Starks had a strong hatred for the Lannisters as they were the ones that had destroyed his family and home. And if Daenerys had come here and found him this easily, that meant that Tywin could as well. The Starks had been a large group when the Lannisters attacked, and he knew that the pregnant female would not stand a chance of Tywin came for her. But why would he be after her?

Finally the male spoke. ”No matter what may happen, I will not leave Abendrot. I have been here for years and as alpha it is my responsibility to take care of this pack. No old ties will break my new ones. As for this war you speak of, why would Tywin and the Lannisters be coming to start war with you now? It’s been quite some time since I have been affected by that family.” Grey Wind knew that he had not answered her proposition yet, but he needed more information first. He needed all the knowledge that she had before he agreed to terms.
