Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Inanna had actually started to come and go from the boundaries of Glorall. An occurrence she was sure would be noticed by others of the pack. Those of Glorall tended to be more aware of what was going on within the pack, and outside, than many others. So she might have believed.

At last, when she had filled her third cache with various herbs she had collected from her mother’s old dens and from the wild trails she had traversed she breathed a small sigh of optimistic satisfaction. It felt good to be doing something, even if it might have been underhanded. A snowy ear flicked back uncertainly. There was a chance she could bring turbulence to Glorall, or there was a chance she could bring an alliance. Her other ear flicked back and she looked into the depths of the packland.

For most of her life she had been a member of the pack in name only. Paws pacing the tracks of trails walked by so many she could not help but feel like a stranger surrounded by faces she should know. She breathed deep as she moved, her thoughts traveling different paths. Where did her loyalty lie, who deserved her life, and who was she willing to give it to.

Along the coasts the autumn wind blue humid. She looked out over the crashing waves, almost feeling the spray of the salt water against her face. Her heart belonged to the wild nature wound her. The path took her back inland, deeper into the heart of the territory.

Maybe she could find her place here, now that she had grown to learn more of who she was. Or maybe it was true she needed to move on and this was an opportunity for her to take the first step.
