Despite the invitation that lingered on the air Sekhmet wasn’t interested rather she foolish and a waste of her time. That was, however, she noticed something or rather someone missing and her eyes narrowed. She came and left as she pleased perhaps it was only fit he slip away from the pack, yet she understood not why they call the first day of spring. Her mind demanded her to follow despite the frustration of multiple chattering voices she would surely hear. Tracks laid and fresh scent guided her rather than the song in the air. The feminine notes irritated her and didn’t soothe her, causing her mouth to remain open with slightly exposed teeth, she was in no rush to catch up. She wasn’t even sure what compelled her to go.
The path that seemed to be laid before was one she had taken many times. Through the woodland and into the valley. Her mother's scent had stalled causing her a pause in her journey. She prodded around looking for her brother as well, perhaps the call had reached him too. Her fur bristled with anticipation she trusted the situation very little and her lips drew back like curtains exposing her teeth, her face clear with disdain. Sekhmet grew concerned with the idea of her own being lured into harm which even she had to admit was a clever idea. However harm of them she wouldn’t permit. Slowly she set back on her journey, it was leading to a place she remembered as the slopes made themselves apparent. She remembered the gray one and a fire burned in her chest her paw steps closing the gap with determination.
She remained distant but the little valley was open enough for her eyes to settle on the sight before her. Her eyes rolled in irritation at the playfulness and the chattering youths. She turned to settle against the trunk of a large tree. She was large enough to feel comfortable lying without being disturbed and still she was ever observant, keeping a watchful eye on Thoth and a curious one out for her brother. No harm would befall them, still, she knew they must protect themselves at points too. A sigh slipped from her lips, as she laid her head on her paws. For now, she wouldn’t approach another but she would keep her eyes out for the gray one.
