Sekhmet had spent less time in the grasslands as of late, even the scent of her companion had started to fade despite occasionally carrying Alouette’s scent. It angered her she even avoided the den in which she called her home. The scent of the pup she had brought at since faded as she padded towards the den she once called her home. Her jaws hung parted, the anger and distress written clearly in her features. She felt betrayal and a pain much like that she felt from the fresh punctures of teeth yet she was uncertain why. Perhaps it was his features or actions nothing really made sense. Her mind held a disconnect to this pack even in the change of leaders that had fallen on the land. It all felt wrong.
She had killed several of her own kind or at least was able to partake in the acts of it. She had gotten lost and roamed carrying many other’s scents anywhere from fights to light touches. She had favored Alouette but it wasn’t the same. Her paws fell lightly against the grass coming to a worn patch where it was mostly short stalks and dirt. She didn’t peer into the den she waited in silence before tilting her head back in a long solemn howl. It was not in her nature to call for anyone and she could only recall doing it once per his request. She did not favor prying eyes or ears and yet most grew wise to stay away from the female who remained a nameless shadow in the world.
Sekhmet stood yet lowered her head back to a normal position and waited. He mind has never suggested what to do and it remained silent and stilled as it had most of the time she was away. She wasn’t certain what to expect, she even knows how she would react herself but she waited patiently for him to come back to her. She wanted to understand, even with a lack of words. She wanted to touch the tangible and yet she refused herself she wouldn’t touch him lest he approaches her first. She planted her paws firmly claws scraping into the earth to keep herself still even though her anticipation grew.
