Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Return to Lunar Children

Now the dark begins to rise

The scent of a stranger filled his nostrils as the night continued to grow darker. Matthias took a moment to inhale the smell before continuing. A lone male was all the scent told him but when he approached the figure before him, he stopped and gazed curiously. He seemed to be fairly healthy, but he cowered from the larger male with his tail tucked between his legs and his moss colored eyes gazing up sadly. Matthias twitched an ear as he sized the other up, his tail rising instinctively to assume dominance over the poor creature.

For a while, nothing was said between the two as they stared at each other in the dark. Many wolves who bumped into him seemed to always want to talk and it became habit for him to stop and wait for them to state their business before moving on. Sometimes they would lead him to something interesting. Sometimes the meeting was a waste of his time. It seemed that this visit, like many others, would also be a waste He took a step to move away when the strange spoke. His voice was soft, somewhat high pitched with a slight accent Matthias had never heard before.

The boy was trying to sound like a girl? Tilting his head to the side, the older male’s curiosity was piqued. Turning to him again, Matthias gazed down with his steel eyes and smirked. "Magnolia? An… interesting name. I am called Matthias and I might be able to help you find your way. For a price." True to his ways, the mercenary never gave free help. His life was about payments. Need help hunting? He would take a portion. Want some rogues chased away? Allow him to sleep in your lands. This was how it had been all his life. Why would he change that now. "What can you do for me in return for my services, Magnolia?"
