Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

I fell in love with a shooting star

He was dozing in and out at this point. Yet, he did not realize so. He never realized so- and thus was his curse in the end. His mind's eyes created the most vivid of dream landscapes, and now the world was brighter and seemed to flow. The stars seemed to shine and shimmer like reflective glitter as he looked upon them- in his dream. He feels that feeling of being crushed by the loss of his parents and being left alone by his once mate. He sees their eyes along the stars, and only sorrow could befall his face.

Although he dreams, his ears ear the slightest of steps, and he turns within his dream to see nothing but a figure in the darkness. His own head moves in the real world, turning towards the stranger but not quite at her, as she greets him. He feels his heart, his breathing again as the image of the shadowed wolf morphs and melds into the reality before him. Opal eyes flicker open. The pupiless orbs almost seem to look right through her, her words now registering with him.

He blinks a few times, his form moving in a more normal manner as he shifts his weight as he lays. He now sees the much lighter figure, quite different from the dark shadow that haunted him just moments before. He took a deep, deliberate breath. He has learned feeling the heaviness of the air was a good indicator of what world he was in now- dream or reality. He determined reality, lips barely tugging into what is probably considered a half-smile. It was difficult to be anything sort of happy, but it does not mean he will not be polite.

"Oh, hello," he says while dipping his dark muzzle, his star-touched forehead visible. He knew it was probably odd to be up at this hour, and in the middle of a field. He was not always known for his brilliant decisions in life- but he did just want to get away from the pestering of ravens and crows who roosted in the trees at night.

"What brings you here, among the stars so late, why do you not sleep?" he questions. He was never known for his consistent sleep schedule, but it almost meant he knew that most wolves were active during the day and evening, and tending to be asleep before the sun rose. Some say only the sick and deranged lay awake at this time, but he knew that certainly was not the case. Sleep was always an odd thing to him, but he always wondered what it was like for others.
