Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

the same old fears, wish you were here

Who-who had just yelled at him? Nord turned towards the source of the voice, and his ocean blue eyes widened slightly before softening as he recognized the wolf heading towards him. Had it truly been that long, that he had forgotten the beautiful and slightly terrifying voice of the lovely Celeste? Somehow upon his returns to Moladion, they always managed to run into each other, no matter how long it had been. This time, though, there was an air about the male that hadn't been present before. Confidence, perhaps, assuredness, a certain sort of self-imposed diligence and discipline that had melted away his stuttering shyness and replaced it was something far more grounded. He wondered, vaguely, if she would notice the difference in him, and even more vague a thought- if she would appreciate it.

"Hello to you too, Celeste." He said with a fair bit of humor in his tones, his tail giving a few low wags, brushing up against his ankles. Even though he had grown far past puppyhood, his fluffy fur and expressive face still presented an air of youth and innocence, directly in contrast to the inner maturity and peace that he felt. Nord felt the overwhelming desire to share with her what he had experienced, but he knew that launching into an explanation would perhaps take hours... and there was no reason that Celeste would be traveling through a forest with its horrible leaves unless she was heading somewhere else.

Nord let a smile fall across his face as he looked at her, opening his mouth to answer her question before snapping it shut when he noticed her ear. Perfection had been marred. He made it a point not to stare at it for too long- his eyes instead returning to her own- but he felt a strange emotion bubbling up inside him. Anger? He couldn't be entirely sure. "Who did that to you?" The male murmured quietly, his brows knit. The injury appeared to be old, scarred over now and yet he felt the same emotions he would have upon seeing it still bloody. "Did you have a healer tend to it? Was there an infection of any kind? Does it itch now- can you hear from it still?" He had always been a healer, through and through, and there was a sort of mothering intonation in his words. It was something that he had always taken in an incredibly serious manner.

The male let out a small sigh. "I returned to the mountain, again. I... finally made peace with the spirits, there, and received closure on what happened to my family and my pack. The spirits apologized and wept openly for the loss. I completed my coming-of-age ceremony, my vision quest, that had been taken from me- I found my peace, I suppose." Nord finished his explanation with a small smile, although his cerulean gaze couldn't help but flicker back to her damaged ear, that red-hot feeling burning in his throat again. He was no warrior, certainly not, and yet he felt the keen desire to avenge her perfection which had been marred by someone likely entirely undeserving.
