Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

On and on she presses, the haze in her eyes growing cloudier by the second. The silver beast finds a fury channeling within him. The desire to strike grows and his body begins to undulate side to side like that if a vipers as he tries to hold back. The Shade grows ever eager and he can feel bone scratched beneath talons of his God. His growl is menacing but also tempered in pain as he squeezes his eyes shut - kill her. The voice is old and malice filled, the pressure within him ebbing to greater heights. She abandons you, it says. She is weak, it hisses. She has failed me. It is her duty!

The soul eater cannot be denied.

Underidge feels fury at Paravana for what she is putting him through in this moment. His eyes burn with something akin to tears - tears of anger and resentment. The pain within him is not entirely of his own making yet his mind strains beneath the pressure. "Stop," he demands once more, his voice near a scream as it has ever been.

Then he strikes - the thing inside of him coalesces and he is a lightning bolt. He lunged at her, yellow teeth bared, gripping the tender flesh of her neck and ripping. He shakes her like a rag doll because she is weak, because she wouldn't stop, because he CANNOT STOP! Then finally he drops her with the tainted taste of blood in his mouth and his stomach churns because her blood tastes so foul, so much different than that of others. It is hers and as she lies on the ground with glassy eyes he comes to his senses.

She is dead. For a moment he stares blindly at her with droplets of blood dripping from his muzzle. For a moment he doesn't compute what he and the Shade have done. Then in a torrent it hits him and he stumbles backwards with a look of such naked horror that one might confuse Underidge for something he was not - compassionate or kind. Because he HAD loved Paravana in the only way he knew how and now he had killed her.

A sudden growl can be heard as he turns and flees, for once fear and denial a companion, and leaves behind the mate he had claimed, the mate he had slaughtered.
