The call is lost on ears that cannot hear. That is alright though for Boneskull had begun to follow the tall male around with a sort of fanatic precision. Curiass did not snap at him unlike his last caregiver, who had rather abruptly abandoned him and his sister. For all the time he had spent with his siblings and Malleah he had learned nothing - none had deigned to teach him anything. Deafness was a weakness and the only word he had learned with his time in that den was BONEHEAD. So he assumed it was his name, often repeating the words to Curiass in moments when it seemed the male expected something from him. Still, he was beginning to pick up more words. Like eat, for example, despite his incredibly hard time devouring the meals the male caught for him. His teeth seemed slow to grow in and his anger fast to erupt, often leaving Boneskull snarling and spitting at even the reeds of Iromar.

When the tall male turned and began to head in the direction of Belhara, Boneskull was at his heels. He hadn't returned to the den since the day that Malleah left. Kahina certainly offered little in the way of warmth and he preferred the company of Curiass, always watching with bright sapphire eyes to see what he could learn. Still, he was much smaller than he should be for his age but rounder in the belly than normal. He had noticed squirmy things in the waste he left behind and often felt uncomfortable in the belly, although he hadn't alerted anyone to the fact because he wasn't sure it wasn't normal.

What was normal anyways?

The long legs of Curiass require him to practically run to keep up, his own short as of yet, and he growls along the way, the noise lost but the vibration of it comforting. When they appear to spy a tall, dark woman and his sister, Boneskull comes to a stumbling halt, almost falling face forward. He glares at Kahina and then the woman, making sure to remain at the back legs of Curiass lest these two try something funny. He had had enough of that for one small lifetime.
