It was another call in the air that whispered subtly to her. As much as her body and mind screamed at her not to go, something bad could happen, there was a hope in her soul the yearned to be with others of her species. The comfort of stones and shadows could only sustain her for so long. Pariah closed her black and white blood red eyes and opened them with a leap of faith.
Her young grey body slipped through the mountains, blending with the terrain that ruled the land until she stepped into the freelands. There was no real difference between the two lands, not really. The shift was one of scent and mindset. She knew when she stepped she was in a different place in time. By all means she could be a different person. A smile flickered on her crimson lips. Here she was not the Pariah of Spirane, she was a Mirage that could vanish into the dark or light of day. With an exhale of air the change came over her much like the change when she left the land. Her head was a little higher, her step a little more bouncy, she embraced the pleasure of a different being. By the time she came to the gathering, Mirage walked with what could be mistaken for confidence. She looked around at the gathering with curiosity, her red tipped tail curling around her paws. Each wolf that came and spoke she studied for a moment, trying to read as much about them from just this moment. If she wanted to learn, she needed to watch and learn to observe.
