It had been a busy time for both me and my mate the last season. What with me stealing wolves and out meeting others as well as settling back into my role as sister, well, what could I say? I was doing my Queenly duties. I had fretted a small bit over Halcyon after the attack mostly because I remember the way the bison had pounding my father until he lay crumpled and limp, the sound of his brittle bones breaking beneath the pressure. Hal had proven himself a King in every measure and I was certain that his parents and mine above refused to allow him to falter beneath the claws of some wayward predator. So I had shaken off the horror that had plagued me and continued my mischief, spying on the girl named Solstice vicariously through Jinx and making sure that Nike remained where I told him to stay. Ungrateful boy!

Yet today as the clouds above hovered ominously and a deep frigid wind cut through the grasses I retreated to the den I shared with Halcyon. A blizzard was coming, of that I was sure. I could feel the instinctive danger in my bones and had set out early in the morning to stock the den with some fresh food to keep us occupied, in the silent hope that Halcyon would give up his duties for the day to spend it locked in the den with me. After all, what could an alpha do against a blizzard?

I had recently returned from Iromar after having made an overnight trip there. Perhaps I should have brought Hal along with me but I had wanted to ascertain just how strong I was - if I could handle it by myself. And I felt more whole than I had in a long time.

Movement makes my ears prick and takes my attention away from the multitude of prairie dogs that now litter the back wall. I had been lining them up fattest to leanest. Since we had arrived here I had quickly taken a taste to them to the point of over indulgence. Eventually I would grow sick of them but not yet. My bright eyes spy his figure near the entrance and I pad towards him, poking my head out so that my forehead presses into the thick ruff around his neck with a grin. "You better get in here before you get buried in snow and ice." I pull back and wrinkle my boss. "I don't like being cold so it would behoove me to warm you up," I playfully jest, although part of me is serious. I had a low tolerance for winter despite my thick coat and almost prime figure.

Kuk - The Chosen One - Darkness personified, this wolf is the chief warrior and is given all the same rights as the Pharaoh. Made of strength, tasked with teaching the youth to build their strength.
Thoth - Advisor to Sekhmet - God of wisdom, reason, and secrets. This wolf is extremely loyal to the Pharaoh. They can make and block steals as well as accept challenges when Sekhemt and the Kuk are unable to do so.

Imhotep - Divine Priest - Spiritual Advisor to Sekhmet. You will make sacrifices to the gods in her name.
Amunet - The Heir - One who is hidden and her powers are connected to the words silence, stillness, mystery and obscurity.
Ma'at - Lead Diplomat - God of justice and order. You maintain peace and order within the pack and with those to whom we are bound.

Nephthys - Head Butcher - God of death and decay. You, mighty butcher, will be the artful assassin. Those marked should meet Anubis soon.
Set - Head Thief - God of chaos and change. Take everything that you need and a little extra to grow. The rest is tribute.
Horus - Head Hunter - God of good hunting. Great hunter, the feast will be plentiful when you step on the fields.
Isis - Head Healer - God of healing and protection. You mend the wounds and do not allow weakness to fester.
Seshat - Head Informant - God of knowledge. Gather information on our friends and enemies alike.

Scepters - Warriors - You will work closely with Sobek. Fight for your pack; you will often be asked to escort other members on outings when it is seen fit.
Kemet - Hunters - Working under the eye of Horus, you will ensure the pack is fed.
Medjay - Scouts - Show me, what bounties can you find for the gods? Report your findings to Seshat.
Snares - Thieves - The world is ours, let us reap from it. Learn your art from Set.
Heka - Healers - Work with Isis to heal wounds and ease pain; repair what is broken to the best of your abilities.
Scribes - Diplomats - You will work under Ma'at to complete the duties of mantaining peace within and outside of the pack.

Kith - Children of Asteraia - The youth are our future.
Kin - Unranked members of Asteraia - Those who have not yet chosen a specialty, or who do wish to.
