Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

It was something he had been meaning to do for a long time and wanted to do for even longer. There wasn’t a night that passed where he didn’t think of her while looking up into the stars from his small den in the fields, nor was there a morning where the first rays of light tickling his nose didn’t bring her face to his mind. Many a day, like today, he wandered nearer to the sea-packs boarders despite the dark clouds that rolled overhead. It made him feel better just to be a few steps closer to her and eased the pull of his soul to hers. She hadn’t wanted much to do with him the day they had met, but it didn’t stop the need he felt to be closer and know that she was ok. As the rain begins to fall and he meanders along the well-marked boundary the alpha has made he feels her call stronger than usual, perhaps because she is so close or perhaps because of how her emotions roil, but before he knows it he is moving into the dry grasses that danced in the whipping winds and toward her.

He follows the call of his soul, feeling somehow more whole for the first time in months, as he jogs deeper into the pack hoping that anyone who might mind his intrusion was taking shelter from the storm that now raged at full tilt. The call led him near the sea, a fact that with the weather’s current condition concerned him when coupled with the swirling emotions he could feel from his imprint. Blinking through the stinging rain he finally saw the dim outline of her bright form silhouetted against the dark sky standing atop.. were those rocks? Was she crazy? An odd thought for the rather puckish boy, but while it was alright for him to do crazy things he didn’t like the idea of her being in any kind of danger.

Huffing her marched up behind her, ready to tell her exactly that, when he watched her lift her muzzle to the sky and join the storm’s song with her own. For a moment, he stands in stunned silence, his vibrant green eyes blinking away the rain to not miss a moment of what felt like such a momentous occasion. Then, never missing a beat, he steps up beside her and angles his slender muzzle to the sky, joining his song with her own as his soul resonated in harmony with hers.
