Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

Zelda

Zelda didn’t think anything of the sort. Hyrule had worked so hard with his band of Assassins, so much so it was what drove him to learn more of his family, the assassins, and what the roots were back in his homelands. No. The assassins were a deadly driven lot she was lead to believe, so much so they would let their love lives be left in the shadows so that they might have more an understanding. Perhaps that was just Hyrule though, ever so dedicated for her work. It was more respect that drove her to find Malina rather than to call her as if she were someone’s personal property. She wouldn’t have Tepi steal her away or force her to come either. This was Zelda’s personal business, no one else had to know what she was about to do for them, for herself.

Her confidence was lacking, but she remembered Hyrule saying anyone could be an assassin. His mother was smaller than Zelda herself and had killed another wolf he had said. She didn’t think she would ever have the heart to kill anyone… not unless their heart was so dark she couldn’t maybe save it with her light. Still this girl seemed to know Malina, though to what extent Zelda had no idea. That was until the girl replied, giving a mischievous grin, her mismatched eyes firmly meeting with Zelda’s teal and mahogany streaked ones. She met it, but gently, not a lick of challenge, of fight was really in her. She knew she had a lot to do, to change, with herself if she was going to protect Taviora, hopefully this would be a good first step. So far so good.

After all the girl before her explained that she was not Malina, but her daughter. Not only that, but Malina had trained her and that someday it would be she who would take up Malina’s place in the world. Her heir. What was more it seemed Malina had sent her to reply to Zelda’s call, that was fine. She had hoped to learn from Malina, but if her daughter knew all that Malina did, if her daughter could teach her, then she was not complaining.

She asked then what Zelda had came for, and her face steeled slightly, her determination to do whatever she could for her pack showing through. ”I was hoping to learn the art of the Angels. To learn to be an assassin.” She felt her stomach twist, not sure what that entirely meant but she wanted it all the same. She wanted to be closer to Hyrule, to protect her home, to be the Guardian Taviora needed. What all that required of her she wasn’t sure. She didn’t care though, it wasn’t for her it was for them.
